Drefach Felindre

Site of the National Wool Museum. This museum of the Welsh woollen industry is housed in what was formerly the Cambrian Mills. It now has an exhibition on the machinery and techniques used in the production of the wool products that were, and still are, made here – including shirts, shawls, blankets, socks, and more – and offers the chance to try out some of these techniques for yourself. A building adjacent to the main exhibition contains working looms that can be observed from a balcony above as the intricately patterned cloth is produced.

The museum has a coffee shop, gift shop, and picnic area.

Access is free and the museum is open all year round:

April–September: seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm
October–March: Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm
